i had the Safari, Sea Explorer, Northwoods Trailblazer, Daredevil Sports Van (what you're showing and yes that's called a kayak), Dune Buster, and Aero-Marine Search Team playsets, as well as the Mountain Climbers (very first set graduated from "Little People"), Construction Workers, Scuba Divers, and Cycle Racing Team "mini" playsets this stuff transcends Star Wars, GI Joe, etc. because you make up your own stories i wish they'd bring it all back

I played this quite a bit back in the day, but I'm not sure I actually knew about the flag collecting. Playing it recently, I found I was a bit better at it than I was back then. I also found that it's a game that holds up pretty well today as the sprite scaling effect is pretty smooth for a C64 game and without the need to take corners, the lack of analogue controls is not as noticeable.

I don't think I ever played Pogo Joe. I did get my C64 pretty late in it's life-cycle though, maybe around 1989 with the Batman/Ghostbusters pack, which would mean I was 13 at the time. I recently listened to your Sprite Castle Pogo Joe podcast. I've started going through the Sprite Castle back catalogue while running and it's been great. I load a few episodes onto my watch and cruise around for10 to 15km about 5 times a week,.However, I am going to exhaust the back catalogue sooner than I would like, so it would be much appreciated if you could produce 5 or 6 Sprite Castle episodes a week. Thanks in advance. Happy with 5 if it means you get a couple minutes of family time.

I can hear the Atari 1050 floppy spinning just watching this. Makes me laugh at people complaining about load times, they do not know the fun of Load*,8,1 and crossed fingers hoping we held option on the keyboard and select button when we turned on the 1050. But don’t memorize those steps to run a game because they all seemed different. I had quite of few titles that required a translator disk to be run first and others, on the machines without Basic built in pre-XE I think, you needed to insert a cartridge just to bring up command prompts. No wonder us gray hairs have lots of patience. Thank for the memories 😊
